Head Crab Invasion Part 1

They were zombies.... Ray put up his stance again and the zombies dawdled over to his striking range (i just realized i went from 1st person to third person.....O_o oh wellz)

Ray lunged towards the zombies spinning once in mid-air and landing with both blades out spread. The zombies both gushed out with blood.

"Perfect, now to find the others"

He continued on, house after house after house, building after building, car after car......until finally

"Fudge.....I'm lost" he said under his breath

"Ninjageek! Ray! Where are you?!"

That damn fast zombie had spooked Aleran so much that he dived into a nearby alley (after checking it for zombies) and started running. Now, about 5 minutes later, he is completely lost. He had reloaded his shotgun while running and checked the clip of the pistol he had picked up. Now, standing in the middle of an empty intersection of two 4-lane roads, Aleran cries for help.

"Can anybody here me?! Any survivors?! Hello?!?!?!"

All of sudden a fast zombie came to where Ray was. It had attacked from above and sludged Ray with a big fist. Ray had looked up by the time it hit and he moved back a little from the powerful blow.
"ow! gargle!" Ray swung his right Rapier at the zombie, but it was behind Ray when he swung! How'd he get there!!!!? Ray swung his elbow backwards to hit the zombie, but the zombie shoved two fists into Ray's back, sending him flying by the force. Ray did a flip in midair and threw one of his right handed rapier at the zombie.

The zombie easily dodged by jumping into the air, but Ray yanked his right hand back. The zombie was stabbed in the heart by the returning Rapier. The Rapier shot through its body and Ray reeled in the chain that was attatched to the Rapier.
"That was shwee-" Before he could finish his sentence Ray noticed that a little crab was still moving about. He took a piece of ice and finished it off.

Ray felt a flash of very very cold air coming from up ahead....probaly two streets down....."That isn't good!" Then Ray sensed little flashes of heat accomanied by bangs. They wern't far away. He shot a piece of Ice into the air that glistened in the (Sun or Moonlight....idk what time it is right now XD)

Sraine walked through the misty night, following the gunshots. It had taken him a while to get here, but finally he had made it. Head crabs... what the heck are they? I have never heard of them before, but- At this, he heard a noise, accompanied by a groan. He turned, and to his horror saw a young girl with a... thing on her head. And she had a metal thing, and was rushing towards him. S***! What do I do, kill a little girl? Appalled at the thought, he cast about for other ideas, but none came. Sighing, he pulled out his bow, nocked an arrow, and shot the thing on her head. She crumpled with a sigh of... was it relief? Sraine could not tell. That was creepy. I wonder if there are others around here? Sraine puts his bow away and draws his sword, walking to where the gunshots were coming from...hoping to find some allies.

NINJAGEEK wasn't exactly right in his head after losing his arm. Sometimes he kind of lost it when he was killing things. This happened to be one of those times.

TRY AND KILL ME YOU LITTLE @$$HOLES!

He had happened upon a small mob of head crab zombies and dove right at them. He was between them, then next to them, then behind them and then even above them as the street filled with blood and gunshots.

Even though his gun was small he laid the zombies flat with it. Mowing down an entire mob of zombies wasn't exactly what a normal person might do but NINJAGEEK did it anyways.

When there was only one left he stopped.

See, you zombies can stand up to me. Now die!

NINJAGEEK's robotic arm flashed in the light as he ripped the last zombie to shreds. Laughing he ran off to find more victims.

Hoping that someone would see the glistening ice and come over to his location, Ray waited a little while on top of a building's roof. But the uber cold air he had felt earlier was coming closer, and Ray didn't like the feeling of it, one bit.....

The still crazy NINJAGEEK was running through the city not caring if he got lost. While running he gunned down two more zombies that happened to wander in front of him.

He slowed down to catch his breath for a moment and realized that there was quite a few dead citizens laying around. Not to mention they were cops, meaning they had guns. Acting quick NINJAGEEK raided all the dead cops for ammo for his gun and slipping a tazer one had into a hidden pocket.

Suddenly a fast zombie was running at him, claws posed to strike. acting fast the tazer flew into his hand and he tazered the fast zombie. It started to twitch and spasm on the road until it died.

Smiling at his new found fun NINJAGEEK started running again.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

A shrill, woman's scream is heard nearby, and it's getting louder. Aleran sees her run into the street opposite him.
"Here! I'll help you!" He starts running toward her.

Suddenly, a mass of head crabs comes running into the street behind her. Her screaming intensifies.

"Run Faster!!!!!" Aleran speeds up, now at a full sprint. "Run!"

He passes the woman, him running towards the crabs, her running away. Then he realizes, he has no plan. He is standing in front of over a hundred fast head crabs, alone, with only two guns and a couple of daggers to fight with. He is utterly screwed.

He fires twice with the shotgun, puts it away, pulls out his handgun, fires a few times, then turns and runs!!!!!

He is faster than the woman, and she had been running longer, so he easily caught up with her. Scooping her up just as she begins to collapse from exhaustion, he continues running with her in his arms.

Sraine ran towards the screaming woman, coming just in time to see Aleran holding a woman running from... more crabs? "What the heck is this world coming to?" He ran as fast as he could towards Aleran, wielding a pistol he found from a dead officer. He looked at Aleran. "Need any help? Heard some screams, then ran this way." He considered firing over his shoulder, but he thought nothing of it. Cant do that. It will waste ammo...

"Sraine! Here, take her! Tired. Can't carry. I'll buy time. Go!"
While still running, he passes the woman to Sraine, feeling the strain of sprinting while carrying an extra 100+ pounds. He dropped into step behind Sraine, and hoping that he would keep running with the girl, Aleran turns around. He stops, looks at the head crabs, puts both his hands out in front of him, and yells "STOP!" It's foolish to think the crabs would listen, but he does it anyway.


Milliseconds after he yells, right before the crabs are upon him, his hands spontaneously combusted.

OOC: Dum dum dum!!!!!!

Sraine continued on with the woman, checking on Aleran occasionally. He saw Alerans hands combust simultaniously. Wow... I wish I could do that. But never mind that. This girl needs to get someplace safe. He continues running, trying to find a good hiding spot.

NINJAGEEK turns a corner where he hears a lot of commotion and there are hundreds of head crabs. Then he sees Aleran his hands on fire in front of them.

WTF

He then dives into the head crabs but not laughing like he had been before during combat. His handgun goes into a pocket and out comes his katana and the head crabs start flying. Spinning and diving through them using his robotic arm and katana to slaughter them he takes out about 20. Then he slips in a pool of blood and falls.

Ray watched as the wave rushed past the street he was on. He saw his friends down the street a ways down, so he jumped off the roof and made ice stairs in mid air.

Before the ice came crashing down he stepped onto the next ice stair he made, he continued doing this till he managed to make a huge ice slope. He slid down the ice slope and landed behind Aleran.

"Let's stop these guys, shall we?"

"I think I can! Ninjageek! Get out!"

FAWOOSH!!!!

The fire from Aleran's hands grows and shoots out at the crabs. About a quarter the crabs in the group right in front of him burn. Aleran begins sweeping the flame along the mob of crabs, away from where Ninjageek jumped into the fray.

OOC: I was tired of not having magic So now I have FIRE!

Sraine stopped for a moment. He turned, unsure of what to do. I have to help them... wait... I got it! Sraine then made some vines shoot out of the ground around the crabs. The vines started to rip them apart.

"Perfect timing Aleran, now let's take this wave of head crabs and turn them into some stuffed shells!"

Jumping into the air he jumped onto the roof. He jumped ahead towards where the wave was coming from and he found a good spot to strike. It was a huge wave of crabs so he took the middle of it and drove a huge ice spike into it, the wave chilling ice dammed up the crabs.....but to Ray's mistake that was a bad idea.....cause then the crabs took to the alleyways and went onto several other streets......

"Great.......of course i mess things up....fudge"

"We couldn't be expected to take them all at once. That would be to easy."

Few crabs remain, brought down with with fire, ice, vines, and a robotic arm wielding a sword.

"But I have a feeling that this is only the beginning..."


A loud booming voice echoes over the city.
"All survivors come to the Citadel in the center of the city. All survivors come to the Citadel in the center of the city. It is safe here. you are safe here. All survivors come to the Citadel in the center of the city. All survivors come to the Citadel in the center of the city."

Aleran starts lazily toasting the few remaining crabs from a distance. When the voice stops, he turns to the others. "What do you think guys? a trap? or is it genuine?"

Sraine picks up the woman and walks back towards the others. He glances at each of them, Ray with his ice powers, NinjaGeek with his ninjaness, and Aleran with his nowfound fire powers. He smiled when he saw Aleran toasting headcrabs like they were marshmallows. "Having fun there Aleran? As for the announcement... I dont know if it is genuine or not. Should we go?"

"Weather or not it's a trap, everyone in the city heard it. All of the survivors will be going that way. If it's true, then there we make our stand. If it's a lie, then we have to go save the people who follow the instructions."

Sraine sighed. "Well then, lets get moving." He starts off in the direction of the announcement, carrying the woman with one hand and holding his gun with the other.

NINJAGEEK is eying Aleran from the distance. Fire? He had been sure that Aleran sensed life force or something like that. Oh well, fire would help more against head crabs. Not to mention the fire had knocked him out of his crazed state. He started walking over to where everyone else was as quick as he could cause it looked like they were about to move on.

"Ray, are you coming?" Aleran asks, looking over his shoulder.

NINJAGEEK walks over in time to hear the last comment.

Go where? Whats happening?

He had been so absorbed in his thoughts that he hadn't payed any attention to the real world for a while and was kind of out of it.

"Announcement. Citadel. Survivors. Now."

Ray sheathed his rapiers, and smiled at Aleran

"Why not?" He shrugged and walked a little ways.... "Um, where's the center of the city?"
